Adam Crayk graduated Magna Cum Laude from Creighton University School of Law in 2002 and practiced for a short time with the firm of Wingo, Rinehart & McConkie before accepting a position as a judicial clerk to Chief Federal Judge Dee Benson of the U.S. Federal District Court for the District of Utah. In January of 2005 he joined Stowell Law, PLLC and then became a partner in 2007 of Stowell & Crayk, PLLC.

Mr. Crayk practices primarily in three areas which are construction law, immigration law and criminal defense. Mr. Crayk has appeared in many bench trials and numerous jury trials and finds he enjoys himself most when he is in court.

Mr. Crayk’s practice has primarily focused in the area of Criminal Defense and Immigration and some general litigation from time to time. However, Immigration has become his passion, primarily focusing on deportation defense, asylum, withholding of removal, familial adjustments, and citizenship. Mr. Crayk appears regularly in Immigration Court and has handled numerous cases from clients who have very diverse backgrounds. Mr. Crayk is also a skilled criminal defense attorney; he has handled hundreds of court appointed cases as well as private matters.

His true passion is ignited, however, when Mr. Crayk is hired to resolve criminal cases that carry immigration consequences. Understanding the interplay of immigration and criminal issues is now a requirement that all criminal defense lawyers must undertake because of the Supreme Court case of Padilla v. Kentucky. Mr. Crayk receives many calls every month from criminal law practitioners seeking advice on how to resolve criminal cases in a manner that will not result in harsh immigration consequences.  Mr. Crayk has also been invited to counsel Utah judges regarding Padilla.  He is among the most knowledgeable attorneys in the state on these complex issues.
